The 2nd Day…-Grace Carvalho

NOVEMBER 21,2016

This was the 2nd day of the Cultural exchange Programme. Students and faculty members assembled at the Tiger’s Ghol at 7 am for the 1st yoga session which was followed by breakfast at 8:30-9:30 in the college canteen. After breakfast, the students and faculty gathered at the college Heritage Hall for the college campus tour led by Sir Adrian Ferrao. A lecture on Goan heritage was delivered by Ms. Vanessa Colaco at 10:30. We then had lunch at the college canteen. Thereafter, we were taken to the Menezes-Braganza Heritage Mansion in Chandor at around 2:45 pm. We were given a brief insight into the ancient Goan architecture, culture and history. We headed back to college at around 4:30 pm, and we were done for the day.

But the sun hadn’t set yet and the day was still young; we decided to go off on our own! The hosts took their respective guests to the Benaulim beach. This was the first time the Swedes laid foot on Goan beach and air.

We played a lot of games (like kho-kho) and had a lot of fun just running around. Finally, we had dinner at Jhoncey’s Beach Restaurant. By the time we were all done it was around half past nine. We all headed home and with this the second day came to an end.
